Overview

Students should take advantage of the free and very useful "Web Companion" for The Norton Anthology of English Literature print edition.

For some of the material, you'll need to download and install 2 things--both free!--if they're not already installed on your computer:

  1. Adobe Acrobat Reader: required to read some of the texts.
  2. Adobe Flash Player: required to listen to the audio recordings.

The different sections

These different sections allow you to do such things as listen to audio recordings of different literary texts, take quizzes to see how well you understand the material, and learn more about a literary period by accessing supplementary material.

This navigation menu should appear on every page. Just click on a box to go to that section of the web site.
